Do you remember when you were in elementary and your teachers and parents would always say you can be whatever you want to be? That moment literally opened the door to limitless possibilities. The imagination begins to spread its wings and soar.

When It’s Time to See a Therapist

A professional therapist is aware of the risk a client is taking by coming in for the first time. They don’t expect the person sitting in front of them to automatically trust them or say something clever. What impresses me personally is that the person has shown up for themselves and that they are trying something new, and that alone is enough to get started. Unfortunately, many people stop themselves from even trying therapy because someone once told them that therapy was for “crazy” people. However, it has been my experience that people with the courage to ask for help when they need it are seldom “crazy.”

Self Creation Time

The key to success is knowing yourself inside and out. Taking time to sit in the silence, listening to your thoughts is the secret to getting more done and feeling good. If you study very successful people they all have this one thing in common, they spend time with their own thoughts.

Enjoy Every Moment

When I look around me, I feel blessed and grateful for everything I have, the friends who are in my life, for my daughter and husband, and for all the wonderful opportunities to travel, to experience life, and to witness beauty through incredible landscape. This year I worked closely with a mentor who guided me to look deep into myself. Honestly, this was a tough road and I didn’t always like what I discovered.
