Is It Possible To Live Authentically in the Modern World?

There are two possible paths from which you may choose to follow. The first choice is the path that society says is yours to take; the one that leads to a proper career, the adoring spouse, the kids, the house with the white picket fence, the perfectly groomed lawn, the luxury vacations, the plump retirement account. There is a danger in choosing this path despite its apparent rewards. Very often this path comes with compromise of self, stress, anxiety, even the loss of one’s true identity and dreams. In time, the day may dawn when all that you have achieved in following this path is valueless in the face of all that has been lost while doing the perceived “right” thing.

Ignorance Costs Significantly More Than Education

Continuing education over a person’s lifetime is as important if not more so than whatever formal degree(s) that they have received. Everyone needs to commit to ongoing learning if they want to advance whether that be in a corporate setting or especially in an entrepreneurial setting.

What a Waste!

Have you ever looked back on a day, week or period of time and think about the time wasted? Not necessarily the time waiting in line or in meetings but gaps of time where we spent time doing something or nothing of particular importance. If we added up those hours we spend daily watching television, surfing the internet, chatting or playing games online, we would see how quickly they add up.

Destiny Is Already A Part Of You

Waking up to your destiny is about finding your path; it is about letting yourself be led by instinct, emotion, feeling, knowledge, and with what feels right. Destiny is not about control or how you see things. Instead, it is about becoming part of where and who you should be; it is not about what you are forcing yourself to be and do.

5 Steps to Expand Your Comfort Zone to Expand Your Life and Successes

We often hear of the phrase “get out of your comfort zone” which is all good and well because the purpose is to invite us to do something different to give us the opportunity to grow and be better. The problem is, although people do every so often get out of their comfort zone, they are too quick and willing to get back into what is familiar to them. This means that their opportunity to learn and grow is temporary and unlikely to last. How would you like to be able to get the courage to step out of your comfort zone to learn new things? Wouldn’t you like to become the type of person who is not ruled by fear, who is willing to experience more and take charge of your life? Well here are the 5 steps to learning to expand your comfort zone so that you are able to learn more, do more and achieve more in life.

Do You Live in the Past, Present, or Future?

Do you live in the past, present, or future? How you perceive time will influence your happiness at present and the future. To break free from the past, anyone can use it as fuel for growth in the future and the present.

What To Keep In Mind When Improving Your Life

Changing your life to make it better is hard, especially if you lack courage and determination to do it. In addition to courage and determination, there are also things you need to keep in mind when improving your life.

Distinguish True Intuition From Ego-Mind-Chatter

It’s a common confusion. You feel an inner nudge. There’s a voice.

You Are Not Who You Think You Are

We all wake up each morning with a personal vision of ourselves. We look in the mirror and see ourselves staring back, with bleary eyes and messy hair. When we see the way we look, we immediately set about improving our appearance. We shower, shave, wash, comb our hair, put on makeup if we are women, and make ourselves smell good. Before we leave the house we put on some appropriate clothing and head out to face the day. Because we have done all the right things for our physical being, we believe all is well with the world…

When Attention to Detail Is Bad

Most of us were taught to look out for our own happiness. We were socialized-to some degree-to think about WHAT will make us happy, HOW to get it and WHEN it will happen. But, while its fun and even smart to give some thought to the WHAT, HOW, and WHEN of our happiness, constantly tinkering around at that level of detail isn’t always good.

What Was the Big Ass Disaster (BAD) That Shaped the Rest of Your Life?

Humans assign meaning to everything. That’s what we do. Our brains are wired for it.

5 Attitudes for Success

We’ve all heard the adage “Your attitude determines your altitude.” While I’m in the camp that says a positive mental attitude (PMA) is an important success factor, I’m too much of a pragmatist to say it’s the most important factor. PMA will take you a long way, but without other success attitudes, it simply won’t get the job done.
